Dear Beer Lover,
News flash from Phipps Brewery Northampton where I’m at The Label Of The Year 2015 awards.
The organisers, The Labologists Society, have used this event to raise over £60k over the past 32 years. This year’s chosen charity is Cancer Research UK.
And in first place for the Standard Label ….
Southbourne Ales, Sunbather.
Dear Beer Lover,
Our first round of crowd funding has now closed.
This round raised £149,000 between 62 new investors.
Our next step is to secure our new premises before starting the second round of investment. We’ll keep you posted on developments!
Dear Beer Lover,
After delays from the crowd funding service provider and my being un-prepared to radically alter my ethics; we have changed our platform to Angels Den.
The fundraiser will be starting on the 10th june and running for 30 days. During that time you can register with them to see details of our business plan, financial forecasts, exit strategies and much more at http://www.angelsden.com/
I shall also be out and about at various venues should you wish to have a chat about any of the details, these will be posted on our Facebook site.
I hope that you find our plans interesting and please feel free to provide any feedback.
Posters of Southbourne Ales pump clip images and iconic logo are now avaliable in the Poster Shop.

Dear Beer Lovers, The time is finally approaching when Bournemouth will have both award winning beaches and award winning ales. Southbourne Ales has finally found suitable premises to start brewing our ales in sunny Bournemouth. Having won two awards in the last six months and successfully brewing and selling our range of eight beers in both cask and bottle; everything is coming together nicely. In order to fit out the brewery with a brewhouse, public bar and visitors centre we still need to raise a substantial sum of money and are looking for you to help by investing in our project and sharing this with your friends who might also like to be a part of this exciting project. To follow what’s happening join the journey now! (Crowd Funding Update)
Cliff Riser 4.5% Pale Ale. After Cliff Riser’s initial limited release finally our Spring Seasonal is available for all to enjoy. This pale ale is typical of the traditional Burton ales with the familiar Goldings hops added at the end of the boil. This beer was popular at The Big Bournemouth Beer Festival and Southbourne Shake ‘n’ Stir.
Grockles 4.5% Blonde Ale. Here we have a gulp of swallows, amongst the UK’s most well known tourists. Grockles Blonde Ale is also here just for the summer with its refreshing peach aromas. As the first of our beers to be available as bottle conditioned your new favourite can make it to the BBQ or even down the beach for the Air Show.
